eCoach

eCoach is a physical activity monitor application that runs on Maemo OS2008, the Linux distro that runs on the Nokia N800 (and n810) tablets.

I have a bluetooth GPS which eCoach accessed without me having to set up, presumably using a Maemo API (as I'd paired the GPS with the device before). It appears to support a heart rate monitor as well, but I don't have one of those to try it out with.

While walking it displays my position on a map widget, which uses OpenStreetMap tiles, as well as current speed, average speed, distance traveled and time.

I tried it out while walking around the block. The first two screenshots show the result of that walk, unfortunately I cleared the third screen (the one that is displayed while walking) before I got a screenshot.
